ASME BPE Compliant Pipe Clamps for Bioprocessing
Sub-millimetre concentric clamps for ASME BPE-conformant bioprocessing piping.
ASME BPE permits a maximum joint misalignment of 0.4 mm on bioprocessing tube. A clamp with 1 mm uncontrolled concentricity consumes 2.5× the entire alignment budget before the orbital welder powers on. NIBRO ASME BPE clamps deliver ≤ 0.2 mm concentricity per measured production batch.
Why ASME BPE needs precision clamps
ASME BPE Section MJ (Material Joining) demands sub-millimetre alignment for orbital welds on pharmaceutical and bioprocessing tube. The clamp holding the pipe must position it concentrically with the previous spool section — anything else propagates downstream.
Commodity stainless clamps are not measured for concentricity. ASME BPE-rated NIBRO clamps are dimensionally inspected per batch against a calibrated CMM reference.

• Body: AISI 316L (V4A), dual-certified to ASME BPE Material Section MM.
• Concentricity: ≤ 0.2 mm clamp inner radius to bolt centreline.
• Parallelism: ≤ 0.1° clamping faces to perpendicular bolt axis.
• Surface finish: Electropolished Ra ≤ 0.4 µm (option to Ra ≤ 0.25 µm).
• Liner: White EPDM USP Class VI (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600).
• Documentation: EN 10204 3.1 + dimensional report per batch.
Cleanroom delivery
Optional cleanroom packaging: degreased to NACA Class 100, double-bagged in ESD-safe PE for direct introduction into ISO 5 / Class 100 cleanroom space. Outer bag wiped on entry, inner bag opened inside cleanroom airlock.
