High-Temperature Steam Pipe Clamps >200 °C
Heat-resistant clamps with sliding pipe shoes for live steam, thermal oil and high-temperature process lines.
Standard EPDM-lined clamps soften above 130 °C. NIBRO high-temperature clamps replace the rubber liner with graphite/silicone composite, pair the clamp with a sliding 316L pipe shoe, and survive continuous service at 550 °C live steam or thermal oil.
What changes above 200 °C
• Rubber liners (EPDM, NBR) lose modulus above 130 °C, leading to clamping-force loss.
• Pipe axial expansion at 5 m span: 6 mm at 200 °C, 16 mm at 550 °C — rigid clamps will buckle or crack.
• Bolt creep relaxation begins above 380 °C — torque must be recovered at first hot inspection.
NIBRO high-temperature kit
• Body: 316L (V4A) to 550 °C continuous. Optional Inconel 625 above 550 °C.
• Liner: Graphite-impregnated silicone, 250 °C continuous. Above 250 °C: bare stainless on stainless with controlled torque.
• Sliding pipe shoe: 316L with Teflon glide pad up to 250 °C / graphite pad above.
• Fasteners: A4-80 below 300 °C / Inconel 718 above.
• Insulation jacket: rockwool sleeve with stainless mesh, k = 0.040 W/m·K.
Applications
Steam distribution headers (40-80 bar) · Thermal oil heating systems · Bakery & dairy steam mains · Refinery distillation reboilers · Pharma SIP loops · Power plant auxiliary steam · Asphalt heating lines.
